About Agincourt History

Agincourt began as a small village and was once centered around the Knox Presbyterian Church (now the story-book brick church on the corner of Sheppard and Midland). The first post office in the area opened in 1858, and the neighbourhood was named after the French Town where King Henry V won the 1415 Battle of Agincourt. A majority of the area was developed between 1945 and 1965, and many of the original houses built during that time are still thriving there today.

About Agincourt Real Estate

Most of the homes for sale in Agincourt are single-family detached, but large apartment buildings and townhouses are also on the rise throughout the neighbourhood. The average price for a single-family house for sale in Agincourt is around $700,000.

Those that know Agincourt know there’s actually two big sections.

Agincourt North

Agincourt North stretches between McNicoll Avenue and Brimley from top to bottom and between Midland Avenue to Markham Road from west to east. Here, you’ll find Brimley Woods Park and East Highland Creek, both within walking distance of one another. Just South of the area houses the Canadian Pacific Railway Toronto Yard – one of the largest marshalling yards in the country.

Agincourt North homes for sale include homes that have primarily been built between the 40’s and 50’s. There are also a good amount of bungalows and new construction homes in this area, as opposed to Agincourt South.

Homes for Sale in Agincourt South – Malvern West

In comparison to Agincourt North, this area is smaller and has fewer properties within it. However, the homes for sale in Agincourt South typically include more of the original structures from the 1940’s and fewer new developments.
