More About Clanton Park Real Estate

Clanton Park is perfect for people looking to stay within the orbit of downtown Toronto while still having plenty of downtime and the option to get away from too much hustle and bustle when needed. The city centre is quite a drive away, but if you’re working in nearby North York, Vaughan, or Richmond Hill, Clanton Park is a great option. In basic terms, Clanton Park is bounded by Sheppard Avenue to the north, Downsview Airport to the west, Bathurst St to the east, and the 401 to the south.

This is a small neighbourhood, only barely over a mile from end to end, but over 15,000 people call Clanton Park home. Most of the homes for sale here are either old school single story brick houses from the 50s and 60s, or newer two-story single-family homes with more modern facades. The streets are well shaded, and though housing is dense here, everyone has a front and backyard, and many houses even have a swimming pool!

The population here tends towards the older side of the spectrum, with plenty of retirees and empty-nesters on every corner. For families with young children, this is a safe and relaxed neighbourhood, with good schools nearby, which we’ll talk more about here in a second.

Clanton Park Real Estate

Though this suburb saw most of its development seventy years ago, new homeowners have done extensive renovations to their new homes, in some cases building new ones, so on one street you can have mid-century bungalows standing beside modern-style houses. Pretty much every home for sale in Clanton Park will list for over $1,000,000, with several reaching the $3,000,000 mark. If that’s not what you’re looking for, you can easily find condos for sale in Clanton Park priced around the $500,000 – $750,000 range, located along Sheppard Avenue and Bathhurst Street.

Again, what Clanton Park real estate has to offer has less to do with the homes for sale and more to do with the location. With the 401 so close to home, anyone travelling to work in the city or the countryside will find getting back home at the end of the day much easier than if you were living in a neighbourhood deeper in Toronto. Also, don’t be put off by the airport next door. For the longest time, it was owned by a manufacturer of private jets, and it has never had regular flights, so don’t expect 707’s to be constantly flying overhead and rattling every window in your house.

Schools in Clanton Park

Clanton Park plays host to a large variety of primary schools: public, private, and religious. From top to bottom, they’re spread pretty evenly throughout the neighbourhood, meaning whichever school you choose, your kids will be more than able to head out the front door and get there on foot in less than ten minutes (though they may not want to walk come winter). Let’s take a brief look at some top schools in Clanton Park:

Dublin Heights Elementary and Middle School

Teaching kids from Kindergarten to 8th grade level, Dublin Heights Elementary and Middle School have been a go-to for residents of Clanton Park for decades. In fact, the school boasts an educational legacy dating back to before the foundation of Canada as a country. With over 800 students speaking more than twenty different languages at home, this is a great public school to send your kids to.

Yeshivat Or Chaim

Yeshivat Or Chaim is a premier Orthodox Jewish High School with almost fifty years of experience providing a Torah-based education to students in Clanton Park. Or Chaim offers studies in business, mathematics, law, science, as well as intensive study of the Torah.

Faywood Arts Based Curriculum School

This public JK-8 school offers students a unique opportunity to focus the formative years of their education on the arts. Students here study music, drama, dance, and the visual arts. If you see your child has an inclination towards the artistic side of life, this might be the perfect school for them.
